Siding has been installed at the Carilli residence in Maitland.  Cypress wood was used for the horizontal shiplap installation at the bump-out for the Master bath tub.  Cypress is a Florida native tree that is adapted to wet conditions and is very durable as exposed wood materials go.  We are planning to use a solid color stain that will still allow the grain to show through.  There are some interior details that will also feature this material that we are looking forward to showing off when complete.

The balance of the siding is Hardi products that are made to be weather-resistant and sustainable. We kept the details simple to support the fresh interpretation of a farmhouse design.  Installation was performed by Frame-Rite Construction and the material was supplied by West Orange Lumber.
