Boathouse on Bear Gully Lake
Designed by The Evans Group

If you grew up in Winter Park in the 1970's, you may remember Glen Turner's castle. The castle which was never completed, was used a few Halloweens as as spook house. Eventually, the castle was demolished and we were hired to build the show home in conjunction with the 1994 Custom Builder Symposium - The Clairveaux.

The boathouse was completed though, and occupied by Turner's brother while the castle was under construction. We were hired by the new owner to remodel the structure as a vacation home.

Circa the period, the original interior was complete with velour paisley wallpaper and long multi-colored shag carpeting. It was a hoot.

The project was a lot of fun and we're sure that the owners' family has enjoyed it over the years.
