Wood French Doors
Wood French Doors have been used in homes for many years, however they do require maintenance.  In areas where they are exposed to the weather or high humidity around a swimming pool, wood doors are subject to warping and swelling.

hints and tips:
Green and Energy Efficiency
Please ask about Green and Energy Efficient options available with these products and systems.

Real Wood Doors
It’s hard to beat the look of real wood doors, but they take a beating here in Florida. Exposure to moisture and direct sunlight can cause wood doors to split and warp, so they should only be considered when they are well-protected from the elements of nature. Additionally, the high humidity associated with a swimming pool will cause deterioration of wood doors, even when they are protected by a covered porch.

Fiberglass Doors
Fiberglass doors are durable and some brands even offer stained-look finishes that rival real wood. Additionally, the glazing units used with many French doors come with a large selection of energy-efficient and attractive options.
