Permit Preparation
In addition to the working drawings, there is a substantial list of additional information that has to be submitted to the building department in order to receive a permit. Legally we can't pull a permit for you under our license unless we have an agreement to provide construction services for you. However we can help you pull the permit yourself if you are thinking of building the home yourself. Please let us know what how we can help you.

Typical Permit Requirements
  • Contractor's License and Insurance
  • Signed and Sealed Construction Drawings
  • Truss Engineering
  • Engineered Installation Details
    • Windows
    • Exterior Doors
    • Garage Doors
    • Fireplaces
  • Boundary Survey
  • Tree Location Survey
  • Drainage Plan
  • Proof of Utilities Availability
  • Energy Calculations
  • HVAC Duct Layout
  • HVAC Equipment Specs
  • Ventilation Requirements
  • Plumbing Riser Diagram
  • Electrical Service Calculations
Each building department has slightly different requirements about what constitutes the proper information shown on each of the above documents. Additionally, it's very likely the list is not entirely complete.

Permit, Impact and Connection Fees
There are a surprising number of additional permits and fees a part of the residential construction process. Sometimes you have to know the right question to ask because all of the requirements don't come from just one government entity. We will gladly help you gather all of the required information. Please let us know how we can help.
